Setting up your Mac to use the SimplyExpats.net Home Service
Part 1 – Setting up the SimplyExpats.net Web Proxy Service

1.0 Activate your User Control Panel
If you have already activated your Control Panel Account, you can skip to Section 3 of this document.
Login to the User Control Panel by clicking on the link below:
Login to the SimplyExpats.Net Control Panel
The Login window will be displayed as below.

Login using the Username and Password you received from PayPal.
(Your Username and Password are also recorded in your PayPal Account).
2.0 Confirm your Account Details & Activate your Account
Once you have successfully logged in, the SimplyExpats.Net Account Confirmation window will be displayed.

Press the Confirm Details & Activate your Account button.
Once your account is activated, you will be returned to the main SimplyExpats.Net User Control Panel window.
3.0 Your Account Username and Password
Please note that your Username and Password are generated by PayPal, and will be displayed by PayPal on completion of the subscription process.
You can also find your Username and password in your PayPal account, under Your Subscriptions.
User accounts are usually activated and available for use within five minutes of PayPal creating your new SimplyExpats.net account.
Please also note that because your SimplyExpats.net account is set up automatically, by the PayPal subscriptions system, we do not send new account confirmation emails.
4.0 SimplyExpats.net Anti Virus Proxy Servers and Port Numbers
The address for the SimplyExpats.net proxy servers is currently as follows:
Server Address: uk-proxy.esixgroup.net
Server Port: 443
5.0 Configure your Mac to use the SimplyExpats.net Home Proxy Service
Press the System Preferences button on the Mac Dock.
Press Network. The Mac network preferences will be loaded.
Select your Network Connection.
If you connect by Wifi, Select AirPort. If you connect by Ethernet select the Ethernet option from the left hand settings plane.
Press Advanced.
The Advanced Options will be displayed.
Click on the Proxies Tab at the top of the Advanced Options Window.
Tick the Web Proxy option.
Enter the following details:
Web Proxy Server: uk-proxy.esixgroup.net
Port: 443
Username: Your username (This is generated by PayPal see section 3 above).
Password: Your password. (Again, this is generated by PayPal see section 3 above).
Repeat this for the Secure Proxy (HTTPS) settings.
Press OK, and then apply the settings.
Your Mac is now configured to use the SimplyExpats.net Anti Virus Service.
5.1 Note to FireFox Users.
By Default, FireFox does not use the Mac Network settings.
To enable this feature, Load FireFox, and go to the Preferences.
Press the Network Tab, and select Settings.
Press Use System Proxy Settings, and press OK.
The SimplyExpats.net Proxy Setup is now complete.
NOTE: When connecting to the Home VPN Service, you MUST disable the Web Proxy, by unchecking the Web Proxy, and Secure Web Proxy tick boxes, in your System Settings. Your Mac will remember the Web Proxy settings, so it can be re-enabled once disconnected from the VPN Service.
